With Week 6 coming to its end, Ditt AM-kort has taken an exciting step forward with the TestFlight launch and the addition of new features that bring the app closer to its full potential..

Here's what's happened:

Approved as an Apple Developer: I’m officially set up as a developer with Apple, which opens the door to bringing the app to the iOS ecosystem.

TestFlight Launch: The iOS app is now live for testing through TestFlight. Early users can now try out the app and provide valuable feedback.

Horizontal Slider for Practice Sessions: Added a slider that allows users to easily select the number of practice questions (1-100) for each session, offering flexibility based on their available time and focus.

Readiness Score: Every chapter now has a readiness score, helping users track their progress and identify areas that need more focus.

Spaced Repetition Algorithm: Implemented an algorithm that mimics spaced repetition, ensuring that users can review questions they’ve already answered in an optimized way to reinforce learning.

Traffic Schools List: Received the full list of traffic schools in Sweden, which will be valuable for exploring partnerships and improving the app's content.

Spaced Repetition: A Smarter Way to Learn

One of the key features added this week is a spaced repetition algorithm. This method helps users reinforce what they’ve learned by focusing more on questions they’ve struggled with while reducing repetition for those they’ve already mastered.

Here’s how it works:

  1. First Review: After answering a question, it’s scheduled for review based on how well it was answered.

    • Correct answers delay the next review.

    • Incorrect answers bring the question back sooner.

  2. Increasing Intervals: As users consistently answer a question correctly, the time between reviews increases. This helps reinforce long-term memory without unnecessary repetition.

  3. Prioritizing Weak Spots: Questions that are answered incorrectly are prioritized, ensuring users focus more on areas that need improvement.

Spaced repetition has been proven to enhance retention by focusing on reviewing at the optimal time, reducing the chance of forgetting and improving overall readiness.

Want to Test the App?

I’m now opening up for additional testers! If you’re interested in trying the app and sharing your feedback, please fill out this registration form. I’ll use this form to collect emails and invite testers through TestFlight.

Your feedback will be invaluable in shaping the final app experience, so don’t hesitate to join in!

Until next time, 👋
